Who are we?
We are Brett Reslow and Cody Harris. We have known each other since first grade where Brett one day decided to share his delicious snack of goldfish with Cody. Little did we know that moment would kick off one of the greatest friendships in the history of friendships, or at least of our lives. Through our schooling years we went on family vacations with each other, spent summers at each others houses and working for Brett’s dads business, and became parts of each others families. We were each others best man at our weddings, we have fought each other, we have disagreed many times, and yet somehow we have manage 25+ years of friendship.
Outside of school we have worked together at several places of business. We have seen success in the wholesale automotive market, worked at local restaurants together, dozens of random one off jobs, but finally decided it was time to start our own business. For years we debated what we would do and could not agree on a business to start.
Finally, after talking about different ideas, we settled on the decision to start roasting coffee. We both enjoy a good, fresh cup of hot or iced coffee. We bought our first set of beans early in 2022, roasted them, and were pleasantly surprised with how delicious it came out. With a little bit of ambition, some spare change, and an idea RH Roasters was born. Our wives may think we are crazy, our friends will ask for discounts, and we know once you try our coffee you wont want anything else.
What Makes Our
Coffee Special?
RH Fire Roasted coffee is unique in the way we physically roast our beans. Instead of purchasing a large expensive roaster that takes the fun and personal touch out of each roast we opted to roast over fire in a drum. This method creates unique roasts, requires patience, and follows a method that is more hands on and a feel for timing. Each roast becomes a unique coffee experience!
We have great control over our roasting temperatures allowing us to make unique roasting profiles. Whether you like a light, dark, medium, or somewhere in between we can create something to fill your cup.
Our Mission
To bring to market coffee that is delicious and unique while doing our best to source quality ingredients from farms who care. We want everyone to enjoy coffee as much as we do!
Why RH Roasters?
To put it simply, we believe we make great coffee. It doesn’t matter if it is one of our single origin coffees or our house roast, we pay great attention to every detail about the roast from when the beans were harvested, when they arrived in the USA, how we roast them, the cooling process, and selling them in a timely timely fashion.
It doesn’t stop at the sale either. We want to hear from everyone about our roasts. The good and the bad. We know we will not be everybody’s favorite coffee but that wont stop us from trying!
We are not going to offer every coffee variety under the sun. We will work with select beans and regions, getting to know them and their characteristics. We will limit ourselves to 2-3 roasting varieties along with our house blend. We believe this will only make our coffee better and more enjoyable to you.
